Skiing in Vail – Colorado

Difficulty: 0

Description

In Colorado, in the heart of the Rockies, lies Vail, one of the most complete and famous ski destinations in the world. As its slogan says: “like nothing else on earth”, it is a spectacular destination with dimensions and services inconceivable in Europe. Read more

A skiable area of more than 2,000 hectares makes it virtually impossible for anyone to get bored and even repeat runs. Vail’s Back Bowls are one of the reference places for powder lovers and for those who prefer trodden slopes, there are no words to describe the quality of the work on Vail’s slopes, they are real highways!

The resort has 2 main sectors: the Vail Village and the Lionshead, in both we will find all kinds of imaginable services, stores and restaurants to enjoy.

As if this were not enough, between 15 and 40 minutes away there are 4 more resorts that belong to the same company and have a joint ski pass where you can continue to enjoy miles and miles of slopes:

1) Beaver Creek; Luxury and service elevated to its maximum exponent. World Cup venue in its mythical “Birds of Prey” has a spectacular infrastructure. Escalators to go up from the parking lot, heated floor so that snow does not form, dispensers with coffee, chocolate or even free cookies. There are only 4 and 5 star accommodations and many of the properties have direct access to the slopes.

2) Keystone; From our point of view, one of the best value for money among all the resorts in the USA. Resort with all the services and a great terrain for skiing. It even has 16 kilometers of illuminated night skiing.

3) Breckenridge; Historic mining town in which this beautiful resort is perfectly nestled. Many trees, the highest peak in the state and a great Snowpark are its most notable features. Good option for the whole family.

4) Arapahoe Bassin; The hidden gem. Smaller, with no accommodations and a lower level of service. These characteristics that make it unattractive to the general public, however, make it a favorite for those seeking a more authentic, less commercial experience. Undoubtedly a favorite of local skiers. Very good extreme terrain.

It is highly recommended to rent a car in this area if you want to visit all the resorts, because there is no service that connects them efficiently.

Although we propose a few recommended accommodations, we work with almost all the hotels and apartments in the resort and can quote other options.

A ski lover’s dream trip!
