Day 1 Madrid – Sydney (Australia)

Departure by scheduled flight to Sydney. Overnight on board.

Day 3 Sydney

Arrival in Sydney. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Room available from 14hs.
Free day. We include a pass to visit the city of Sydney on board the Big Bus Hop off & Hop On that makes a circuit of the main neighborhoods including Kings Cross and Bondi Beach (pass valid for 48 hrs)
As part of the pass we include the entrance to the Sydney Tower Eye (viewpoint) and a Harbour Cruise.

Day 4 Sydney. Sydney Harbour Excursion

Breakfast. Today we will take a 30-minute jetboat ride on Sydney Harbour. During the ride, we will pass under the Sydney Bridge, admire the majesty of the Sydney Opera House, cruise through Rose Bay, and have the opportunity to view the Taronga Zoo from the water, among other highlights. This jetboat ride promises to be an exciting and adrenaline-filled experience, perfectly complementing our exploration of the city. Lodging.

Day 5 Sidney. Port Stephens

Breakfast, lunch and overnight. In the morning we will start an adventurous excursion to Port Stephens, a coastal town north of Sydney, with beautiful beaches and marina. This natural environment is home to about 160 bottlenose dolphins. On the way we will visit the Australian Reptile Park to see a variety of Australian reptiles. Once in Port Stephens we will board a dolphin cruise. Then, aboard a 4WD vehicle we will reach the Stockton Bight Dunes, the largest dune system in the state of New South Wales, with 32 km of pure sand hills. Here we can go sandboarding (optional). Return to Sydney at sunset.

Day 6 Sidney. Blue Mountains

Today we will take an exciting small group tour into the Blue Mountains National Park, one of seven national parks that are part of the Great Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. We will explore lesser known places, through blue-hued forests and breathtaking views of the Jamieson Valley.
Our first stop will be Masley Hill, a working farm that is also home to kangaroos, emus, wombats and koalas. Here we enjoy a morning snack and have time to explore on our own. We then head to one of the natural lookouts overlooking the Jamison Valley, continuing on to the Eaglehawk Lookout to view the Three Sisters. Next, we arrive at Evans Lookout, where a picnic lunch awaits and instructions to begin a self-guided hike. This trail traverses several valleys and cliffs from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap, from where we can admire the impressive 180-meter waterfalls to the foot of the cliff. Finally, our last stop is at the Blue Mountains Botanical Garden, where we have time to admire the local flora and the famous Wollemi Pine, unique in this national park. We return to Sydney around 17:00 hours.

Day 7 Sydney – Ayers Rock (flight)

Breakfast and lodging.
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Ayers Rock, in the Northern Territory. Arrival and transfer by shuttle to the Ayers Rock Resort, which comprises a variety of hotels, restaurants, a mini-market, an information center and souvenir stores, surrounded by the vast red desert and as a backdrop the spectacular silhouette of the Uluru monolith and its changing colors, a great contrast to the vibrant and modern Sydney.

Day 8 Ayers Rock

Picnic breakfast and lodging.
Before sunrise we will depart to Uluru to see the sunrise over the rock and its special color. The guide will explain about the aboriginal legends of the Anangu tribe and the importance of this sacred place, as well as its incredible geology. We will observe how the first rays of sunlight are changing the color of the rock. Kata Tjuta means “many heads”. This impressive geological formation is 36 rocks that extend 6 km underground, and are the remains of erosions that began 500 million years ago.
We will walk to the Valley of the Winds, arriving first at the Karu viewpoint with views of the Kata Tjuta rocks and the sacred area of Anangu. Then we will continue to the Karinga viewpoint with a little more effort, but it is worth it, as it takes us to a paradise among the rocks. If it is very hot the guide may suggest shorter walks.
Return to the hotel in the middle of the morning.
In the afternoon departure for an excursion to Uluru in Kata Tjuta National Park. First we will make a circuit in the vehicle around the Uluru rock to get an idea of its dimensions and views. Then we will go to Kuniya Walk to walk with the guide to Mutijulu Waterhole, which has been a source of water for Aboriginal tribes for thousands of years and we will see paintings on the rocks. We will depart for the Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre which houses a wealth of Aboriginal craftsmanship in pottery, paintings, and woodwork. Finally, we will strategically position ourselves to contemplate the sunset and the changing color of the Uluru rock as the rays touch it and hide on the horizon. Uluru is 348 m high but most of its mass is underground. We will be served wine and canapés at sunset.

Day 9 Ayers Rock. Kings Canyon

Breakfast en route and overnight.
Today is an early start (around 4am) as we depart for Kings Canyon, before it gets too hot.
We will see the awakening of the desert and its native animals at dawn as we travel to
Kings Creek Station, an 1800kms2 camel and cattle ranch, where we will be served a full breakfast. Continue to Kings Canyon, located in Watarrka National Park, home to the Ulpanyali and Lilla tribes. Here we will ascend with some effort to the crater (1/2 hour, 100m up the cliff face). From here we will walk along the canyon rim (approx 3h) observing the rock formations and wild flora. We will see Lost City and descend to the Garden of Eden, an oasis of greenery.
Alternatively those who do not wish to climb the crater, can walk to the grotto at the base of the canyon.
Then we will go to Kings Canyon resort for lunch (not included) with time to rest.
Return to Ayers Rock.

Day 10 Ayers Rock – Darwin (flight)

Breakfast, dinner and lodging.
Transfer by regular bus to the airport and departure by flight to Darwin. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 11 Darwin – Kakadu National Park

Breakfast.
Early in the morning, we depart for the Adelaide River to enjoy an exciting “Jumping Crocodiles” cruise down the river, home to over 1600 crocodiles. This experience allows us to observe these fascinating reptiles up close in their natural environment. After the crocodile experience, we continue our journey to Kakadu National Park. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to admire the rocky landscapes and vast wet plains that characterize this region. Once in Kakadu National Park, we will enjoy a delicious lunch before visiting the Marrawuddi Art Gallery, where we will see important Aboriginal art sites dating back thousands of years. This gallery provides a unique insight into the rich history and culture of the Aboriginal people of the region.
We will then drive to Ubirr, a sacred rock adorned with impressive Aboriginal paintings. We will climb to the top of Ubirr to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view and learn more about Aboriginal culture and their connection to the land.

Day 12 Kakadu National Park – Katherine

Breakfast

Today we will continue our visit in Kakadu National Park. The first stop of the day is at Nourlangie Rock, where we will hike to the impressive Aboriginal rock paintings. These paintings have served as a refuge for thousands of Aboriginal people over the years, and offer a fascinating insight into their customs and traditions. We will be able to appreciate the different types of paintings and learn more about the rich cultural history of the region. Afterwards, we will visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre, where we can access additional information about the Aboriginal culture and deepen our knowledge of their heritage.
After lunch, we will head out on the Yellow Water Billabong cruise, an exciting experience that will allow us to explore the waters of the Billabong and spot saltwater crocodiles, as well as a variety of birds native to the region. This ride will give us a unique perspective of the area’s wildlife and bring us even closer to nature. We will continue our journey to Katherine, stopping at Edith Falls, a beautiful enclave surrounded by pandanus and paper trees.

Day 13 Katherine – Darwin

Breakfast.
Our day will begin with an exciting 2-hour morning cruise through Katherine Gorge, where we will immerse ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty of the region. This cruise will take us through the 13 gorges carved millions of years ago into the sandstone, offering spectacular views and the opportunity to spot freshwater crocodiles, birds and other wildlife in their natural environment. In addition, we will have the opportunity to hike to reach the second gorge, exploring the rich wildlife and breathtaking scenery until we reach the center of the grotto.
After the cruise, we will visit the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre, where we can learn more about the local flora through a scaled display, as well as discover wooden artifacts and other cultural aspects of the region. On our way back to Darwin, we will stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the war. We will also have a brief tour of Katherine before making our way back to Darwin, where we will arrive around 6:00 p.m.

Day 14 Darwin – Cairns (flight)

Breakfast and lodging.
At the indicated time transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cairns. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 15 Cairns. Great Barrier Reef

Breakfast and overnight.
We will depart early for a full day excursion to the Great Barrier Reef.
We include the Reef Magic cruise on a 90′ trip to Marine World, located at
Outer Barrier Reef at Moore Reef. Includes snorkel gear and buoyancy vests, marine biologist presentation on board the boat on trip to the reef, semi-submersible boat ride and glass bottom boat ride, underwater observatory, fish feeding, use of lounge chairs, hot and cold buffet lunch, tea/coffee and water throughout the day. There are several optional activities on board.
The Great Barrier Reef stretches 2300 kms from the northern tip of Queensland to the south off Bundaberg and is the largest tropical marine park in the world. It is composed of 350 types of hard coral, 1500 species of fish of various colors, more than 5000 mollusks and crustaceans, 22 species of seabirds, 6 species of turtles, 800 species of starfish and thousands of sponges. In this marine park there are more than 900 islands, many of which are simple sand cays, with almost no vegetation.

Day 16 Cairns. Rafting on the Tully River

Breakfast and overnight.
Today we will take a fabulous 5-hour rafting trip (grade 3 and 4) on the Tully River, located 2 hours south at Mission Beach, a World Heritage Site in the middle of tropical rainforest.

Day 17 Cairns. Fitzroy Island

Breakfast and overnight.
Today we will cross by ferry to the Fitzroy Islands on the Great Barrier Reef, just 45′ from Cairns, a tropical paradise that has changed very little since the arrival of Captain Cook in 1770. Ninety-six percent of the island is a national park and the waters around the island are coral reefs. On the island we will have a glass bottom boat ride. The rest of the day is free to go trekking in the rainforest or enjoy the beach, snorkeling or sea kayaking. At about 17h we will take the ferry back to Cairns. Overnight.

Day 18 Cairns – Spain

Breakfast.
At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Spain. Overnight on board.
